Choosing and creating better thought patterns

Mindfulness is all about awareness, and there are sooooo many things to be aware of. For one thing its helpful to become aware of the thoughts that are going on in the mind. If you can do that then you can adjust them when they are deemed unhelpful or completely stupid. as in not even true. How about the negative Thought patterns? those come from an addictive tendency. We become so reactive to the circumstances around us that we fall prey to old patterns of thinking that we aren’t aware of. We believe; if this than that. If I am not in a relationship than I am not as lovable as others. If I didn’t get that job, It means that I am just not good enough to be in this line of work. (can ya tell I’ve had that one?) Outer circumstances are not nearly as important as what we hold is true about ourselves. So stop being addicted to those false beliefs…Time to create some new beliefs, and productive thought patterns.
